Mount Carmel Lodge A.F. & A.M.
Mount Carmel Lodge was instituted June 10, 1805 in Lynn by Most Worshipful Isaiah Thomas. Bro. Thomas has been noted as one of the most effective Grand Masters in Massachusetts history. He was best known as a Patriot and creator of the American Spy, a newspaper which antagonized royalist supporters.
Since its beginning, Mount Carmel Lodge has had many prominent war heros from the Revolutionary War through Operation Iraqi Freedom among its members. Its Charter was signed by many Brothers whose names can be found on street signs through the city, ranging from local politicians, veterans, and prominent members of the community.
One of the largest Lodges in the Commonwealth, our members range from college students, blue and white collar workers, and retirees. We are an eclectic Lodge and extremely active in the community.
The Lodge has been strengthened by the mergers with Mount Sinai Lodge, A.F. & A.M. in 1988, Damascus Lodge A.F. & A.M. in 2002, and Bethlehem Lodge A.F. & A.M. in 2006.
If you are traveling to the Lynn area, please join us for some fraternal hospitality and friendship.
