Joseph Webb Lodge A.F. & A.M.
Joseph Webb Lodge was created during the centennial of our nation's birth in 1876. Over the years, we have developed an energetic group that is dedicated to upholding the ideals of Freemasonry in every aspect of life. We welcome men of good character, from all backgrounds to join our lodge, receive the degrees, and become active, contributing memebrs of our fraternity.
While all Masons aspire to the same ideals, Joseph Webb lodge is particularly adept because of our commitment to one another. Since our inception, we have taken pride in offering an open and inviting atmosphere that promotes the development of strong fraternal bonds. For instance, we have an annual event in honor of Brother William Henry Williams, an early member of our Lodge who promoted sociability among members and the development of strong friendships. At each annual event since March 29, 1922, we read a tribute to him that includes the following statement:
"Those who knew him best speak of his marked social nature and remember him as a good story-teller. It was through his direct influences that the popular 6:00 dinners were instituted in this lodge. Inquiry shows that it was through no personal experience but rather because he had the faculty of seeing the possible loneliness of the other man that William Henry Williams became especialy solicitous for the social life of the Lodge."
